Imam Abu Hanifah Menangis Bertemu Anak Kecil

Suatu ketika Abu Hanifah Nu'man bin Tsabit,atau yang populer disebut dengan Imam Hanafi,pernah berpapasan dengan seorang anak kecil yang tampak berjalan mengenakan sepatu yang terbuat dari kayu.

Lalu Imam Hanafi Menasehati Anak Kecil Tersebut :

Hati-hati,Nak,dengan sepatu kayumu itu.Jangan sampai kau tergelincir.Sang imam menasehati.

Bocah miskin ini pun tersenyum,menyambut perhatian pendiri mazhab Hanafi ini dengan ucapan terima kasih.

Lalu beberapa saat kemudian dia bertanya :

Bolehkah saya tahu namamu,Tuan? tanya si bocah.

Nu'man.Kata Imam Hanafi.

Lalu anak kecil tersebut berkata :

Jadi,Tuan lah yang selama ini terkenal dengan gelar al-Imam Al-'AdZom (imam agung) itu?

Lalu Imam Hanafi menjawab :

Bukan aku yang menyematkan gelar itu.Masyarakatlah yang berprasangka baik dan menyematkan gelar itu kepadaku.

Lalu tanpa diduga Anak Kecil ini pun berkata :

Wahai Imam,hati-hatilah dengan gelarmu.Jangan sampai Tuan tergelincir ke neraka gara-gara dia.

Sepatu kayuku ini mungkin hanya menggelincirkanku di dunia.Tapi gelarmu itu dapat menjerumuskanmu ke kubangan api yang kekal jika kesombongan dan keangkuhan menyertainya.

Sontak Imam Besar Ummat Islam itupun menangis.

Ulama kaliber yang diikuti banyak umat Islam itu pun tersungkur menangis.Imam Hanafi bersyukur. Siapa sangka, peringatan datang dari lidah seorang bocah.

Subhanallah,betapa Tawadhu' nya beliau Rohimahullah.Mengambil Nasehat dari siapapun sekalipun dari seorang anak kecil sekalipun.

Maka benarlah Apa yang dikatakan Oleh Sahabat Ali bin Abi Thalib :

*_Lihatlah apa yang dikatakan jangan melihat siapa yang mengatakan_*
